"In 2006 Trevu toy library (now part of Kerrier District toy library service) earned the prestigious "Quality Play Matters" quality award from the National Association of Toy & Leisure Libraries (the only toy library in the South West to hold this award). As part of the initiative we looked at the toy library service from the vantage point of families and other users.
We realised that the presentation of our toys and resources was really important, and worth spending money on. Original toy boxes don't last for long, and large rigid boxes, whilst they have a place, are not very versatile. We also recognised that packaging toys correctly was necessary if we wanted the toys to last. And, very importantly, we wanted the children to be able to carry away the toys of their choice easily where possible.
After looking around at lots of suppliers, we purchased bags from Carryalls. We were able to select our own combination of colours, and choose from a huge variety of sizes and shapes (vital when packaging toys!!). The toy bags have clear fronts so that visitors can see into them without turning out the contents (important for our sanity, as anyone working in a toy library will know!!) and carry handles for the children. When we wanted unusual sizes we asked for them and it was no problem for Carryalls.
Considering that some are made to order, delivery is very quick, and we have been able to get hold of a real person to talk to when necessary! All in all a good experience."
